Our aim is to treat medically early squints as soon as it is detected.
This is possible by taking digital pictures showing the localization of the Hirschberg corneal reflexes (1874) relatively to the center of the pupils from the birth and regularly afterwards.
From birth onward we ask to see the album of photos of the baby .
They are interpreted by ophtalmologists and by orthoptists. Suspicious cases are strongly recommended to consult a paediatric ophthalmologist in emergency to get appropriate care. FolIow-up mails will be sent to the parents.
The idea came in 1980 from J.B WEISS, who asked the famillies to show us the photo albums of the child to follow the evolution of squint.
